I have been getting caught up in all the noise...advertisements and the chatter of people spouting their opinions every which way. I get overwhelmed and fall into to the stream of followers, allowing myself to be carried by the voices of others, rather than acting on what I know to be true. Buy every once and a while, I catch myself. It hits me that I’ve been walking around in a haze amidst the rat race.
I remember that I will die one day. It could be any day.
When it hits me, at first I feel sad because I feel like I’ve wasted all that time worrying and being afraid when I could have been having fun and enjoying the moment. After that initial regret, I move into inspiration, and I find ways to express my love.
Ask yourself right now, “what is truly most important?” If you're 100% honest with yourself, the answer may bring you to tears. Allow that to guide you in your decision-making in your every day life.
I know for me at least, when my time to leave this life comes, I want to be able to say with total confidence and certainty, “I lived.”
