Perhaps you could use a paradigm shift. A paradigm is a way of thinking or a system of beliefs. There are paradigms for everything and we create and sustain them daily whether we are aware of it or not.
What if your life was a series of miracles? What if you looked out your window in the morning and saw a world brimming with opportunity and adventure?
You can live this life by changing your paradigm. Below, I’ve outlined how I changed my paradigm into four steps. Reality is always more complicated than a step-by-step process. But, it serves as a decent guide and starting point. These ideas come from my actual experience, not second- or third-hand sources.
- I ask questions about myself and what I think is true. Challenge assumptions and dig as deep as you can to get to the root of your beliefs with logical reasoning.
- I lose myself in activities. Reach a state of consciousness where your reflective and observant mind stops talking and all you know is what you are doing.
- I step outside my comfort-zone. This goes hand-in-hand with questioning what your believe to be true. You might think, “I can’t talk to that stranger - it’s not the right time or place” CHALLENGE that assumption. Say, “Why not? So what if it’s not the right time or place?” Then act. Do what you want to despite all the reasons not to.
- I take time to be grateful. Take a step back and observe your life as if you were on the outside. Your natural reaction will sound something like, “WOW life is incredible! The fact that I am here and living is amazing. The world is a beautiful place.”
We can believe anything we want. So what not choose the most empowering, loving, and happy beliefs?
